For almost the first three years of his life, Binx was always the talk of the shelter. He quickly greeted all visitors by launching himself onto their shoulders and licking them to say hello. He finds happiness and joy no matter what life seems to throw at him. Sadly, sweet Binx has had many obstacles to over come and it seems so unfair for such a wonderful and loving cat. He spent most of his life growing up in a shelter before finally finding a wonderful foster home, only now to be facing a life threatening heart condition. With proper medication and follow up care, we can not only make Binx comfortable but also help extend his life. With your help and support we can make the rest of Binx's life as comfortable and happy as he deserves. He continues to add joy, happiness, and smiles to so many. Please help us give just a little bit of that back to Binx.

A good Samaritan found a kitten who was obviously injured and brought her to us. She was having a great deal of trouble walking and had obvious injuries. Upon examination by our vet it was determined that Serenity had a broken pelvis. The sweet little girl went on cage rest and began to heal. Poor Serenity spent many weeks of her kitten life in a cage while healing. We set her up in front of a window so she could watch the birds and squirrels during her time of confinement. Through all of this, Serenity was very loving and gentle. She was always full of love and quick to offer head butts and purrs. Because Serenity was outside on her own she did not receive immediate medical care. While her pelvis is now healed, it did not heal correctly and this causes Serenity to have an abnormal gait. Our vet believes that this will improve as she grows stronger but she will probably always have some degree of a limp. Serenity is an absolute sweetheart and is very gentle and loving. The pictures do not do justice to those incredible eyes that seem to see right into your soul. There is something very endearing about this little girl. Serenity is now ready for her forever home where she will always be safe and loved. Do you have the heart and home to offer this little Angel?
While Serenity recovers and waits for a forever home, she requires joint supplements. Any donations or sponsorships will go towards purchasing her joint supplements.

Poor Sue. He has had a rough start to his life. First came his name - the people who turned him in said he was a girl, so he was named appropriately. When he was examined - surprise! A boy named Sue! Then he developed asthma, which is made worse by dust and dander. Being in the humane society is not the best place for him to avoid these things. Sue requires breathing treatments and medications to manage his asthma. Your sponsorship will help Sue stay a happy, playful cat.

"I came to the shelter with my mom and my brother, Tweedle. We look just like twins except that I ended up with the weaker immune system. I suffer from chronic sinusitis. I'm not adoptable because of my constant runny nose, sinus infections, and the need for medications. I don't let it get me down though, and I stay happy, loving, and super sweet. Will you help me continue to be happy, and as healthy as I can be by sponsoring my needs?"

"My name is Lilly and I'm an old Coon Hound. I was very pregnant and starving when I managed to find my way to a home with people who cared. I didn't know at the time that they fostered and cared for dogs. I delivered seven puppies and I had a real hard time due to the neglect and malnutrition that I had previously suffered. I'm getting older now and they tell me I've gotten a little fat, but at least I'm not hungry anymore! I'm shy, but I love people and get along great with other dogs too. Since I'm aging, I need the proper foods and supplements to keep my bones, joints and eyes in good working order. With your sponsorship, you can help me stay happy and healthy for what I hope to be many more years."

Dempsey is a gorgeous Collie mix. He is a real sweetheart, but is very shy. He has a tendency to hide when strangers come around. He will probably be with us for a long time because of his shyness. If the right family for Dempsey doesn't come along, he will live with us for the rest of his life where he is safe and secure. Your sponsorship will provide Dempsey with vaccines, heartworm preventative, and flea treatments.

Little Spencer was found all alone and abandoned by his mother. He was approximately 4 weeks old and in very poor health. The kind lady who found him took him straight to a Humane Society employee so he could receive treatment. Poor little Spencer was hungry, flea infested, and the
tip of his tail had suffered some trauma. The little guy had lots of spunk and survived his ordeal. Unfortunately the poor care and nutrition he received in his first few weeks of life left Spencer with a weak immune system. He suffers from sinusitis, diarrhea, and occasional seizures. Somehow Spencer remains a happy youngster and loves to play. Your sponsorship will insure that Spencer gets all the medications he needs to stay as happy as he is today.

This beautiful extra large kitty has a urinary problem. Poor Snuggles has had lots of tests and has been treated for health as well as behavioral issues, but she still does not like to use the litter box very often. Because of this, Snuggles is not adoptable and will probably live out her life with us here at the shelter. We love her and don't mind her problems, but we could sure use help in supporting this super sweet girl. Sponsoring Snuggles will help insure that she has a wonderful life with us.
